Thai Red Curry Dumplings are a mouth-watering fusion of Thai and Chinese cuisine. These dumplings are filled with a spicy and flavorful mixture of red curry paste, chicken, and vegetables, and are perfect for a quick and easy appetizer or snack.
Ingredients (serves 4):
- 1 package of dumpling wrappers
- 1/2 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 tbsp red curry paste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
Cooking Tips:
- Make sure to finely chop the vegetables to ensure they cook evenly and fit well into the dumpling wrappers.
- Use a non-stick pan to prevent the dumplings from sticking to the bottom.
- To prevent the dumplings from drying out, cover them with a damp cloth while you work on the rest.
Cooking Process:
1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground chicken, cabbage, carrots, onion, red curry paste, soy sauce, and fish sauce until well combined.
2. Take a dumpling wrapper and place a tablespoon of the filling in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it in half, pressing the edges together to seal.
3. Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add the dumplings and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
4. Add the water to the pan and cover with a lid. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the dumplings are cooked through and the water has evaporated.
5. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
