Herb Lemon Gems: A Refreshing and Flavorful Appetizer
Looking for a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that will impress your guests? Try making Herb Lemon Gems! This dish is a perfect combination of fresh herbs, tangy lemon, and creamy cheese, all wrapped up in a crispy phyllo pastry.

To make Herb Lemon Gems, you will need the following ingredients per serving:

- 2 sheets of phyllo pastry
- 1 tablespoon of melted butter
- 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh herbs (such as parsley, thyme, and chives)
- 1 tablespoon of lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons of cream cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste

To start, preheat your oven to 375°F. Lay out one sheet of phyllo pastry and brush it with melted butter. Sprinkle half of the chopped herbs and lemon zest over the pastry, then fold it in half. Brush the top with more butter and sprinkle with the remaining herbs and lemon zest.
Cut the pastry into 6 equal squares and place a dollop of cream cheese in the center of each square. Season with salt and pepper.
Fold the corners of each square up and over the cream cheese, pinching the edges together to create a little pouch. Brush the tops with more butter and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
When done, the Herb Lemon Gems will have a beautiful golden color and a crispy texture. The filling will be creamy and tangy, with a burst of fresh herb flavor. Serve them hot and watch your guests devour them in no time!
