Easter Egg Truffles

Easter Egg Truffles

Easter Egg Truffles are a delightful treat that will satisfy your sweet tooth this Easter season. These truffles are made with a rich and creamy chocolate ganache center, coated in a colorful candy shell. They are perfect for Easter baskets, dessert tables, or as a sweet gift for loved ones.

To make these Easter Egg Truffles, you will need the following ingredients per serving:

- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 4 oz. semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup candy melts (in assorted colors)
- Sprinkles or other decorations (optional)

To begin, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate and vanilla extract. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
Transfer the chocolate ganache to a bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
Once the ganache is firm, use a small cookie scoop or spoon to form small balls. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for another 30 minutes.
Melt the candy melts in separate bowls according to package instructions. Dip each truffle ball into the melted candy, using a fork to remove any excess. Place the truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and decorate with sprinkles or other decorations, if desired.
Refrigerate the truffles for another 30 minutes, or until the candy coating is firm.
These Easter Egg Truffles are a delicious and festive treat that will impress your guests. They have a smooth and creamy chocolate center, with a crunchy candy shell that adds a pop of color and texture. They are perfect for Easter celebrations, or any time you want a sweet and indulgent treat.
