Ingredients (makes 12 macarons):

For the macaron shells:

- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup almond flour
- 2 large egg whites, room temperature
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 Earl Grey tea bag

For the Earl Grey buttercream filling:

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 Earl Grey tea bag
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 300°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a food processor, pulse together the powdered sugar, almond flour, and Earl Grey tea bag until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks. Gradually add in the granulated sugar and continue to beat until the mixture is glossy and forms stiff peaks.
4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg white mixture until just combined.
5. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag and pipe 1-inch circles onto the prepared baking sheet.
6. Tap the baking sheet on a flat surface to release any air bubbles and let the macarons sit for 30 minutes to form a skin.
7. Bake the macarons for 15-18 minutes, or until they are set and have formed feet.
8. While the macarons are baking, prepare the Earl Grey buttercream filling. In a small saucepan, heat the milk and Earl Grey tea bag until it comes to a simmer. Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes.
9. In a separate bowl, beat the butter until it is light and fluffy. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and beat until well combined.
10. Strain the milk and add it to the butter mixture, beating until the filling is smooth and creamy.
11. Once the macarons have cooled, pipe the Earl Grey buttercream filling onto one half of each macaron and sandwich with the other half.
12. Serve and enjoy!
