Caramel Macchiato Bars

Caramel Macchiato Bars are a delicious and indulgent dessert that will satisfy your sweet tooth. These bars are made with a combination of caramel, coffee, and chocolate, making them the perfect treat for coffee lovers.

To make these bars, you will need the following ingredients per serving:

- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup of brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream

To start, preheat your oven to 350°F and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the flour and mix until a dough forms. Press the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
While the crust is baking, prepare the caramel layer by combining the caramel sauce and brewed coffee in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon, stirring occasionally. Pour the caramel mixture over the baked crust and spread it evenly.
Next, prepare the chocolate layer by melting the chocolate chips and heavy cream in a double boiler or in the microwave. Once melted, pour the chocolate mixture over the caramel layer and spread it evenly.
Refrigerate the bars for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate layer has set. Once set, remove the bars from the baking dish and cut into squares.
These Caramel Macchiato Bars are the perfect combination of sweet and salty, with a rich coffee flavor and a smooth chocolate finish. They are a great dessert to serve at parties or to enjoy as an indulgent treat.
