- 1/4 cup of cornmeal
- 1/4 tsp of baking powder
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/4 cup of warm water
Cooking Tips:
- Use a non-stick pan to cook the beef rendang to prevent it from sticking to the pan.
- Make sure to shred the beef rendang into small pieces to make it easier to stuff into the calzone.
- Use a pizza stone or a baking sheet to bake the calzone to ensure that it cooks evenly.
- Brush the calzone with olive oil before baking to give it a crispy and golden brown crust.
Cooking Process:
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2. In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
3. Mix well and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes until the beef rendang is fully cooked.
4. In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. Add warm water and mix until it forms a dough.
5. Roll out the dough into a circle and place it on a pizza stone or a baking sheet.
6. Spread the pizza sauce on one half of the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edge.
7. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza sauce.
8. Add the beef rendang mixture on top of the cheese.
9. Add the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef rendang mixture.
10. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal.
