Ingredients (serves 6):
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Cooking Tips:
- Use a non-stick pan to make the caramel sauce.
- Be careful when pouring the hot caramel into the flan mold, as it can be very hot and sticky.
- Let the flan cool completely before serving, as it will be easier to slice and serve.
Cooking Process:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. In a non-stick pan, combine the sugar and water over medium heat. Cook until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture turns a golden brown color.
3. Pour the caramel into a flan mold, making sure to coat the bottom and sides evenly.
4. In a blender, combine the mashed bananas, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
5. Pour the banana mixture into the flan mold, on top of the caramel.
6. Place the flan mold in a larger baking dish, and fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the flan mold.
7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the flan is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Remove the flan from the oven and let it cool completely.
9. Once cooled, run a knife around the edges of the flan mold to loosen the flan.
10. Invert the flan onto a serving plate, and serve chilled.

This Banana Flan is a beautiful golden color, with a creamy and smooth texture. The caramel sauce adds a sweet and slightly bitter flavor, while the banana and milk mixture is sweet and fragrant. The combination of flavors is simply irresistible, making this dessert a crowd-pleaser.
