6. Place the baking dish in a larger baking pan and fill the larger pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the baking dish.
7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the flan is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Remove the baking dish from the water bath and let it cool to room temperature.
9. Once cooled, refrigerate the flan for at least 2 hours or overnight.
10. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the flan to loosen it from the dish. Invert the dish onto a serving plate and let the caramel sauce drizzle over the top.
