Apple Cinnamon and Brown Sugar Empanadas

To make the pastry crust, combine the flour and salt in a large bowl. Add the chilled butter and use a pastry cutter or your hands to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the ice water and mix until the dough comes together. Divide the dough into two equal parts and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
