- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
1. Make the dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour and water until a dough forms. Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with a damp towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.
2. Make the filling: In a large bowl, mix the crumbled tofu, grated carrots, chopped scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
3. Assemble the jiaozi: Roll out the dough into a thin sheet and cut out circles using a cookie cutter or a glass. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle and fold the dough in half, pressing the edges together to seal. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.
4. Cook the jiaozi: Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the jiaozi. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the jiaozi float to the surface and the filling is cooked through. Drain the jiaozi and serve hot with the dipping sauce.
