- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 1/2 cups warm milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup currants


For the cross:

- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, butter, salt, yeast, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Mix well.
2. Add the warm milk and egg to the bowl and mix until a dough forms.
3. Add the raisins and currants to the dough and knead for 5-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
4. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
5. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
6. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape them into balls.
7. Place the balls on a greased baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
8. Bake the buns for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown.
9. While the buns are baking, mix the powdered sugar and milk together to make the icing for the cross.
